This fun project had two main goals- replace the small island and kitchen table with an eat-in island fit for the whole family and give the client plenty of storage. Through thorough collaboration with the client, and a last-minute island shape change, detailed designs was able to meet both of those goals. The design comes together with wall and pantry cabinets that reach the 108” tall ceiling and a funky “s” shaped island that seats seven. In order to give the kitchen a little pizzazz, we tiled up behind the stainless hood, chose large industrial style pendants for over the island, and selected a bold blue color for the island. With wood accents and a rich wood floor, this space will be warm and inviting for years to come.
